Birth Doula Package:
· First interview meeting is free; no obligation, discuss your ideal birth, what services I provide, my fees and contract, and ask me questions about me and my role as a doula.
· Once you decide you want to hire me, and we have a signed contract, I am committed to you and your birth.
· We meet 2 times prenatally 60-90 minutes each. We discuss your birth plan, practice comfort measures, talk about my role as a support to you and your birth partner. Discuss how I can help your birth partner be the best birth partner for you. Most importantly develop a rhythm together so that I can be the most support to you in the ways you and your birth partner need.
· 24/7 phone, text, email support
· I will be on call beginning at 37 weeks until baby is born
· I will have a back-up available should I be unavailable prior to 37 weeks. I will do everything in my power to be at your birth. You have an opportunity to speak or meet with my back-up should that be a likely possibility or it is something you desire. My back-up will have similar training, experience, and philosophies as me.
· I will be with you continuously once your labor begins. Either by phone, or when you choose to have me join you in person. We will connect during early labor either by phone or a visit to make a plan together as to how to move forward and how to best support you. I may then leave for you to have space to relax or sleep and then rejoin you once you are ready for continuous support. I will help keep you comfortable and help you navigate through the different stages of labor and your reactions to them. I will guide you in your decision on when to leave for your birth space (hospital, birth-center). And I will be with you every step of your labor and birth.
· Once baby is born, I will help focus on family bonding and initiating breast-feeding or chestfeeding if this is your planned method of feeding. 1-2 hours after birth.
· I am available to take pictures during and after the birth as you desire. I will use your point-and-shoot camera or my iPhone. All pictures will be emailed immediately to you. If you wish to have a professional birth photographer and are interested in a package deal, ask me for more details. I have a fabulous photographer I partner with. Selena Davis. Click HERE for her info
· We will have one postpartum visit 1-2 weeks after the birth. We will process your birth together; I am trained in breastfeeding and chest feeding support and can help with any issues or questions you may have. I can also make recommendations for further expert lactation support if needed. I am available by phone any time after the birth for this support as well.
*Have a baby carrier you are unsure of how to use? I can help you feel confident so you can begin wearing your baby!
